The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested former Vice-Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Demcratic Party in 2023 Presidential Election and immediate past governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa.
The former governor was arrested on accusations of misusing funds derived from resource allocation.
Okowa had been on the watch list of the commission for sometimes now while investigations were ongoing before he was said to have arrested some couple of minutes past.
The EFCC Is yet to make any official statement regarding his arrest but check revealed that the reason for his arrest may be unconnected to funds derived from resources allocsted to the state while he was the sitting governor in the past adminstration
