The Rivers State House of Assembly has set plans in motion to investigate the state Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Amadi, for alleged falsification of age.
The development comes amid ongoing political crisis in the state.
Urban Express News Online reports that the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike and Governor Similayi Fubara have been engaged in a political rivalry over who controls the oil-rich state, a development that culminated in generating commentaries of impeachment, where the former governor was quoted as saying if Governor Fubara is impeached, heaven will not fall
The Supreme Court recently declared, among other things, the nullification of all the Elected Local governments and subsequently ordered the withholding of their allocation until further directive is followed.
The Court, among other things, gave life back to the 27 Lawmakers loyal to the former minister of Federal Capital, Mr Nyesome Wike. Until now, Jumbo led by three assembly members who were making laws on behalf of the Rivers State Assembly
