The executives and members of the Labour Party Kaduna State Chapter have hailed the Supreme Court judgment that recognised Senator Esther Nenadi Usman as the National chairperson of the party.
A statement issued by its Kaduna state chairman of the party, Elder Yusuf Solomon Danbaki, said, “This triumph marks the end of a challenging journey and the beginning of a renewed era for our great party.”
He added, “We have always known you as a gentle, patient, yet resilient fighter who plays the game strictly within the rules. Your unwavering commitment to justice, fairness, and due process has been an inspiration to us all, demonstrating that true leadership endures through perseverance and integrity.”
Danbaki stated that the Labor Party Kaduna State Chapter is immensely proud of her historic achievement as the first and only woman to serve as party chairman of the first three political parties in Nigeria, stressing that this milestone not only elevates the status of women in Nigerian politics but also sets a powerful precedent for generations to come.
“To our esteemed members across Kaduna State, we reaffirm our dedication to embodying the spirit of your post-victory statement in court: ‘no victor, no vanquish.’ We commit to working collaboratively in this vein, fostering unity and reconciliation without division or rancour,” the statement explained.
The state chairman called on all their members who may have joined other parties during the period of uncertainty to return home to the Labour Party fold, where their voices and contributions are valued and needed now more than ever.
He urged all aggrieved persons to set aside past grievances and join hands to build a stronger, more inclusive party, saying, “Together, we can overcome challenges and chart a path forward.”
