Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has blasted the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, saying it thinks everyone is a thief like them when in government.
Speaking during an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television on Friday, El-Rufai said the current administration is desperate and determined to bring down anyone who is not on their side.
Recall that operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, attempted to arrest him on Thursday, a development which has sparked widespread debate in every quarter of the country.
“The current administration is desperate and determined to bring down everyone. They think we were thieves like them when in government.
“They have investigated me since June 2023 and have found nothing. They arrested my former Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Finance, and virtually all my senior officials have been interrogated and charged in court with frivolous charges, and nothing has been found.https://urbanexpresslive.com/they-think-everyone-is-a-thief-like-them-el-rufai-lambasts-apc/
“They are using my successor, Uba Sani, as the enabler. I have worked in public office from 1999 to 2007. I challenge any Nigerian to come out and expose me if I ever took one aided bribe while in public office,” El-Rufai said.
