Barcelona legend, Carles Puyol,l has reacted to Paris Saint-Germain’s heavy defeat of Inter Milan in the final of the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League.
He hailed his former teammate and PSG boss, Luis Enrique, following the victory that saw the French side win its first-ever Champions League trophy.
It was a prestigious quadruple this season for Enrique’s side, the first time in the club’s history.
PSG are now just the second club to win the historic quadruple, with the last one coming in 1966-67 from Celtic’s Lisbon Lions.
Puyol wrote on Instagram,
“You are the best, Brother!!!! ❤️ @luisenrique_2121 Congratulations!!!!” (translated from Catalan by Google).
Both men shared the dressing room as players at Barcelona and the Spanish national team.
The two players combined for 117 matches across competitions, with a single joint goal contribution.
With Saturday’s accomplishment, Enrique became only the second manager to achieve the historic treble with two sides, Barcelona and PSG.
