What Galatasaray Teammate, Lamina, Reacts To Gabon’s 4-1 Defeat To Nigeria

Victor Osimhen’s teammate at Galatasaray, Mario Lemina, has reacted to the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s 4-1 bashing of Gabon in the 4-1 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff clash in Morocco.Lemina said their defeat to Nigeria was a painful setback, but added that they will have to move on with the lessons learnt.Lemina watched his teammate at Galatasaray, Osimhe,n score twice in the second half of the extra time to give Nigeria a well-deserved victory after the normal time ended in a 1-1 draw in Rabat.Gabon netted the equaliser in the 89th minute after Sevilla striker, Akor Adams, had put the Super Eagles ahead earlier in the game.Chidera Ejuke returned the Super Eagles in front before Osimhen hit the back of the net twice to seal the victory.Lemina said, “A mix of emotions between rage, disappointment, and pride. We had promised ourselves to fight to the end for this jersey, but it wasn’t enough.“Let’s use this experience to progress and move forward stronger toward our goals. Proud of you guys. Thank you,” he wrote on X.The Super Eagles now have a date with DR Congo in the final playoff on Sunday at the Moulay Hassan Stadium.
