Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, has pinpointed three Red Devils stars he wants to see step up in their performances for the club next 2025/26 season.
According to the Portugal international, he would be glad if Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo improve next season.
However, the Portuguese midfielder insisted that he would like to see his teammates beat him to the club’s best player award next year.
“I hope next year, I am not involved in the names [for the award next season],” Fernandes told CBS Sports.
“Because that would mean that Amad has stepped up, Garnacho has stepped up, Rasmus has stepped up.”
According to Fernandes, Amad, Garnacho and Hojlund need to start scoring, providing assists, tackling and running backwards so that they can get the attention of fans and pundits.
Fernandes, 30, moved to Old Trafford from Portuguese side Sporting in 2020.
