Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, has suggested why his team lost 3-1 against Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday.
A late penalty goal from Cole Palmer ensured Chelsea defeated the Reds at Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Fernandez, Jarell Quansah (own goal) and Virgil van Dijk also scored during the encounter.
Speaking at his post-match interview,
Slot said Liverpool were not aggressive in the final third against Chelsea.
According to him, his players missed a few percent to score a goal against Enzo Maresca’s side.
Slot said: “They were a constant threat on the counter-attack, but they have a very good team. Well organised and so many great individuals.
“A wise man once said to me, ‘nothing good comes from losing a football game,’ and that’s how we experience it.
“Yes, we slipped twice with goals conceded, but the number of times we could play through Chelsea was much more than half a season ago.
“In the final third we were not as aggressive and we missed a few percent to score the goal.”
Liverpool are already been confirmed Premier League champions this season after they defeated Tottenham Hotspur on April 27.
