Arsenal on Friday confirmed the departure of both Japanese defender, Takehiro Tomiyasu and coach, Mehmet Ali from the club.
The Premier League North London club disclosed this in two separate statements via their website.
The Gunners noted that they have reached an agreement with Tomiyasu to mutually end his contract with immediate effect.
Tomiyasu had joined Arsenal from Serie A side Bologna in 2021.
The 26-year-old made a total of 84 appearances in all competitions for Mikel Arteta’s side.
On Ali, Arsenal disclosed that the under-21s coach has left his role at the Emirates Stadium to join Premier League side Brentford.
The 38-year-old joined Arsenal from Reading, where he was under-21 head coach.
Ali had also worked as a youth manager at Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in the past.
