A legal practitioner, Liborious Oshoma, says the African Democratic Congress, ADC, should also be blamed for the recent action of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on the party.
Oshoma made this statement on Thursday while responding to questions in an interview on ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television.https://urbanexpresslive.com/it-took-him-twenty-years-to-prepare-for-presidency-joe-igbokwe-on-president-tinubu/
He was speaking on INEC’s decision over the leadership dispute in the ADC.
Recall that INEC, on Wednesday, struck out the names of former Senate President David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola as National Chairman and Secretary of the party, respectively.https://urbanexpresslive.com/epl-why-gary-neville-gives-arsenal-only-condition-to-win-title-ahead-of-man-city/
The development has caused a lot of criticism with the ADC demanding the immediate resignation of INEC chairman, Prof Joash Amupitan and other top officials of the Commission.
Airing his opinion, Oshoma said, “If we blame INEC, we should also blame ADC. It is very convenient to say INEC is trying to play safe, but the court did not ask INEC to play safe.https://urbanexpresslive.com/afcon-what-eric-chelle-said-regarding-three-players-that-impressed-him/
“The court just told parties to maintain the status quo.
“In the days to come, I think ADC should first and foremost do an in-house cleaning of all the cases that are in court before they can confront INEC and the APC and find a way to resolve them.”
