The operation was launched following persistent complaints from residents of the Birnin Ruwa, Tullukawa, and Yar Gada communities about the activities of youths, popularly known as “Arlet Boys,” who were accused of engaging in dangerous motorcycle stunts and other disruptive acts that threatened public peace and safety.https://urbanexpresslive.com/davido-withdraws-loses-legal-custody-fight-for-daughter/
According to the Command, the raids were carried out on June 7, 2026, at about 7:30 p.m., targeting identified criminal hideouts and black spots across the affected communities. Police operatives successfully apprehended 21 suspects and seized 20 motorcycles believed to have been used in the alleged disturbances.
Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, confirmed the development during a press briefing, stating that the suspects are currently being screened and investigated.
He said, “The ongoing operation will be sustained to rid the affected communities of criminal elements and ensure the safety of lives and property.”
Abubakar added that individuals found culpable after the investigation would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
