Paul Pogba is eager to continue his career with a team in one of Europe’s top five leagues after terminating his contract with Juventus last week, ESPN reports.
The 31-year-old will return to training in January 2025, before his ban for taking a prohibited substance expires in March.
The Court for Arbitration for Sport, CAS, had shortened Pogba’s punishment to 18 months from the initial four years.
Pogba’s preference would be to play in one of the established leagues on the continent, in order to give himself a better chance of reclaiming his place in Didier Deschamps’ France setup.
It is understood that several clubs have been in contact with Pogba’s agents, but there is nothing concrete yet.
He is training in Miami, USA, at the moment to ensure his fitness levels are at the required level by January 1, 2025.
