The Ayegunle Ekiti Leaders of Thought has Plead with Federal Government of Nigeria and specifically the minister of Health, Professor Ali Pate to come to its rescue by finishing what the government have started over nine years past that has been existing without being put to use for the purpose it was meant for, due to lack of means to reach the government of the day to come and finished the project
Ayegunle Ekiti is situated in Ekiti state, with a location in ijero local government and was said to have been existing with no medical facilities for many years, counting
This Developments, in a statement signed by its President, Mr. Anthony Adeola Ajayi said was the reason it tasks the inhabitants of the settlement to do a routine maintainace of the medical facility with the understanding that the government will come and take ownership of the facility, input medical staffs and manage it for the wellbeing of the people of Ayegunle and its immediate environment.
The Statement Puts further, ”that the community had continued to experience needless injuries leading to many deaths that can quickly be nipped in the bud, but because the distance to a medical facility has become a challenge, the inhabitants have continued to suffer unnecessarily due to the said development
The was part of the reason our People Came together through think thank and conceptualized the idea of maintaining building and structure through community self-help and feel strongly that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through his Minister, will locate a federal medical center here, where our People will be able to have access to health care facilities.
“This idea has come to fusion, but the community has continued to suffer in silence because nobody has deemed it necessary to help inform the federal government of the need for medical facilities, justifying its reason for channeling through the media in other ways so that it can reach the government”.
Our People today, after many years of uncertainties, came out today to do some maintenance of the building with the hope that the government will come to its rescue and take over the building, where there will be safer lives and fuller health.
We believe Professor Ali Pate’s efforts in Provision of Medical Dialysis in the Geo-regional location that made up Nigeria with better subsidization for ordinary Nigeria is indeed a testimony of the fact that President Tinubu means what he says.
The reason we feel strongly that those abandoned facilities like a borehole, a Large Generator and other Valued Property may be stolen or become Moribund, justifying the government’s need to act with speed
We need a change in Ayegunle Ekiti now as we plead for quick intervention on the Said Development, the statement reads
