Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, and his entourage have visited the Lokpanta cattle market in Umunneochi LGA and Eziama Nunya community in Isuikwuato LGA, for an on-the-spot assessment.

This followed a recent report that unidentified assailants attacked the areas, injuring one person, and during which 65 cattle were declared missing.

During the visit, the Abia State Commissioner of Police extended his heartfelt sympathies to members of the community and reassured them of the Command’s unwavering commitment to bringing the perpetrators of the crime to justice.

He urged them to remain calm, refrain from taking the law into their own hands, and cooperate fully with the Police in the investigation.

A statement signed by ASP Maureen Chinaka, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), on behalf of the Commissioner of Police on Saturday evening, stated that the Command has successfully recovered 56 out of the 65 missing cattle, in collaboration with local guards from Seriki Hausa, while efforts are ongoing to arrest the assailants.

“To expedite justice, the Command, in collaboration with local guards from Seriki Hausa, has successfully recovered 56 of the missing cattle. Intensive operations are in progress to track down the remaining cattle and apprehend the assailants.”
