Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo has refused to name his choice for the Ballon d’Or 2025.
The Portugal forward called the prestigious individual award ‘fictional’ and walked off when a reporter asked him.
While talking to the media after scoring a hat-trick in Al-Nassr’s recent pre-season game against Rio Ave, the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star was asked to name his Ballon d’Or 2025.
Ronaldo, who had won the Ballon d’Or five times in the past, refused to pick a winner.
He instead claimed that the award did not hold any meaning.
Ronaldo said (via Sport TV Portugal): “Ballon d’Or? That’s fictional to me!”
Meanwhile, in June this year, Ronaldo insisted that the Ballon d’Or should be awarded to a player who has won the Champions League.
He named the likes of Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé, Vitinha, and Ousmane Dembele as his picks.
