Chelsea, on Thursday, confirmed that Argentina international Facundo Buonanotte has returned to Brighton and Hove Albion following his loan spell at the Blues.

Buonanotte had joined Chelsea on the final day of the summer transfer window.

He made his debut in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw away at Brentford, and also scored in their Carabao Cup victory over Lincoln City.

“We thank Facundo for his efforts throughout his time at Chelsea and wish him well for the future,” Chelsea’s statement partly read.

Meanwhile, in another development, Manchester United confirmed that forward Rachel Williams has joined Leicester City’s Women’s side in a permanent deal.

This means that Williams brings to an end her four-year association with Man United, after joining them from Tottenham Hotspur back in 2022.

The 38-year-old made 90 appearances for United, scoring 21 goals as she helped them win the Women’s FA Cup in 2024.

“Everyone at United wishes Rach all the best in her next chapter,” Man United’s statement reads.
