The former commissioner of police in Rivers who was recently promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police and deployed to zone 6 in Calabar while speaking at a brief ceremony thanked officers and men of the command and in particular the People of Rivers state for their cooperation.
AIG Bala: ‘I thank you for your immense support during my stay in Rivers in charge of the state command as it is my utmost belief that you will show the same support to the new commissioner of police in the state
He congratulated his successor, CP Olubenga Adepoju, who served under him as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations, and added that while he was away, the state remained peaceful.
He further urged officers of the command, people of the state and the media to give the new commissioner of police all the necessary support to enable him to succeed in policing the state.
In his response, the new Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju thanked his predecessor, AIG Mustapha Bala for his fatherly disposition while they worked together.
Made urged officers and men of the command to be on the pedestrian of core professionalism which the inspector general of police, IGP Egbetokun has been echoing as one of his principles of policing
