Urban Express News Online  reports that President Bola Tinubu, through spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, announced the death of the COAS early morning on Wednesday.

Ismail Musa, President, Defence Correspondents’ Association of Nigeria (DECAN), in a statement, described the late Lagbaja as a distinguished and revered leader whose exemplary dedication and service to Nigeria’s security and sovereignty will forever be remembered.

“Lieutenant General Lagbaja was an embodiment of commitment, valor and unwavering patriotism.
