Alex Iwobi reached a new personal height despite Fulham’s defeat to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Friday night, Urban Express News reports.

Iwobi, who started the thrilling encounter, is now the joint-highest Nigerian appearance maker in Premier League history.

The versatile midfielder equalled Shola Ameobi’s record of 298 matches.

The 28-year-old is now running for the all-time appearance record.

Iwobi, who started his Premier League sojourn with Arsenal, has also played for Everton.

Behind Iwobi and Ameobi in the all-time Nigeria Premier League appearances list are Nwankwo Kanu (273), Yakubu Aiyegbeni (252), and John Mikel Obi (249).
