Former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has advised the club’s attacker, Christopher Nkunku, to consider a move to Arsenal.
The Frenchman believes that the Gunners are an ideal fit for his countryman, along with Bayern Munich.
The former French international told Racing Tipster that he is unsure if Nkunku should leave Stamford Bridge.
But be it as it may, the Frenchman feels that a move is on the cards as it is important for him to play regularly without which he cannot make it to the World Cup with France next year.
Malouda said via Goal, “Arsenal or Bayern Munich would be the right kind of place for him to go, but I’m not sure he should leave Chelsea.
“I like him as a player, as a person. I would love him to fight and to prove what he showed in the beginning.
“I think it’s more a mental aspect that he needs to work on a little bit, like Jadon Sancho. Moving clubs, it’s sometimes running away from what you have to adjust.
“He’s used to the Bundesliga, but at Bayern, there would be competition too. So, for me, he has more things to improve. But it’s like he kind of gave up mentally, and that’s what he needs to adjust to.
“But yeah, Bayern Munich or Arsenal would be good clubs for him to continue to progress, and most important is to prepare for the World Cup coming next year.”
The French attacker has not been impressive under Enzo Maresca, failing to make the Italian’s main XI at Chelsea.
Nkunku has been limited to starting only cup matches, but wants to play regularly and is looking to move.
