Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been awarded the Professional Football Association (PFA) Community Champion for the 2024/25 season.
The award is in recognition of the forward’s outstanding dedication to supporting local communities throughout the year.
Awoniyi was involved in a number of charitable initiatives, including a partnership with a local organisation to provide meals for Muslims during Ramadan.
The PFA Community Champion award is presented annually to players who have contributed immensely to community development.
The 27-year-old has established himself as a role model both on and off the field.
He is the first Nigerian player to receive the award.
