Former Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, looks set to make a return to the Premier League very soon.

Potter has not coached any team since he was sacked at Stamford Bridge back in 2023.

But now, both Everton and West Ham are considering the 49-year-old as they consider a managerial change.

Potter has emerged as West Ham’s preferred candidate to replace Julen Lopetegui, who is on the brink of being fired.

It is believed the Hammers technical director, Tim Steidten, has already spoken with Potter about the role.

However, their pursuit of the ex-Brighton coach could be complicated by Everton, who are internally assessing Sean Dyche’s future.

The Toffees are now owned by the Friedkin Group following their recent takeover and Dyche’s position is in question after the team recorded just one win from the last 11 games.

Everton would be keen on appointing Potter as their new boss should they sack Dyche.

But while it remains to be seen if Dyche will get the boot, Lopetegui is all but certain to be dismissed once West Ham have reached an agreement in principle with a successor, with Potter their No.1 target.

Lopetegui only arrived at the London Stadium last summer after David Moyes left at the end of his contract. But the Spaniard has failed to impress at the London Stadium.
