Former Barcelona midfielder Emmanuel Petit has criticised Real Madrid winger Vinicius over his recent attitude at the club.
Petit said the Brazilian international has been a problem since his teammate Kylian Mbappe joined the Los Blancos, and also after he lost the 2024 Ballon d’Or to Manchester City’s Rodri.
“Vinicius has been a problem at Madrid since he lost the Ballon d’Or to Rodri and Kylian Mbappe joined the club,” Petit told Jeffbet (via SPORT).
“He constantly complains: ‘Why always me? Why am I being substituted? Why did I not win the Ballon d’Or?’ He is becoming a very serious problem.”
Vinicius was recently in the news over his behaviour towards Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso after he was substituted during his side’s LaLiga El Clásico win over Barcelona.
The 25-year-old was visibly angry after Alonso substituted for Rodrygo, but he has since apologised for his behaviour.
