Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman, has named his best friends within the Nigerian national team.
Lookman was recently named the CAF Player of the Year for 2024.
FIFA only approved the 27-year-old’s international switch in 2021 but has risen to become one of the key members of the Super Eagles.
He played an important role in Nigeria’s run to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations at the start of this year.
Lookman scored twice in the last-16 win over Cameroon and then the winner against Angola in the quarter-finals.
When asked about his close friends in the team, he told ESPN: “I got a few. But I’d probably say the ‘innit’ boys.
“I would say Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey.”
