The daughter of late Justice Moses Abu Bello, Ann Eniyamire Bello, has petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, calling for the arrest and prosecution of her stepmother, Mrs Mary O. Bello, and several others over the alleged illegal sale and conversion of her father’s properties, including JAB Luxury Homes.

In the petition, filed through her lawyer, Victor Giwa on March 18, she accused Joseph Asuku Bello, Gabriel Ozovehe Bello, Rev Father Ezekiel John Akomolafe, and Abdullahi Abubakar of conspiring to sell and convert properties left behind by the late Justice, contrary to the stipulations of his will dated December 12, 2007.

According to the petition, the will clearly required all beneficiaries to undergo a DNA test before they could claim any inheritance.

However, Ann Bello alleged that some individuals, led by her stepmother and half-brothers, disregarded this requirement and proceeded to sell the properties without following due process.

The petition read,”Our client is one of beneficiaries and heirs of Late Hon Justice Moses Abu Bello under the will dated 12th Dec.2007.

“Under the said will, each of the beneficiaries are supposed to undergo a DNA TEST before he or she is entitled to an inheritance under the will see paragraph 5A page 6 of the will attached.

“However, Joseph Asuku Bello and Gabriel Bello and others who are from the step mother of our client, have conspired with Rev Father Ezekiel John Awolumate to criminally convert and sell properties without following the WILL of Hon Justice Moses Abu Bello.

“Joseph Asuku Bello together with Mrs Mary O. Bello has converted properties refers to as JAB LUXURY HOMES to themselves depriving our client and others the benefit of the will of the late Hon Justice Moses Abu Bello.

Our client has suffered seriously and has been deprived of part of her inheritance from her late Father, according to the WILL.

“We are therefore seeking the good office of the Commissioner of Police for the following:

” Arrest and prosecute Joseph Asuku Bello, Mrs Mary O., Gabriel Ozovehe Bello and Rev Father Ezekiel Akomolafe for criminal breach of trust, cheating and criminal conversion of monies and properties under the Will. of Late Hon Justice Moses Abu Bello.”
