Inter Milan duo, Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, as well as AC Milan’s Rafael Leao are the other forwards nominated for the award.
Atalanta manager, Gain Piero Gasperini is also in the running for the Coach of the Year award.
Lookman has been in fine form for Atalanta this season.
The 27-year-old has notched eight goals and five assists in 14 appearances across all competitions.
The Nigerian registered 17 goals and 10 assists across all competitions for La Dea last season.
The winger finished 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’or ranking.
He is the overwhelming favourite to win the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
