Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has urged teammate Mathys Tel to make sure he gets playing time and experience if he decides to join a new club.
Tel has been linked with both Manchester United and Arsenal.
The 19-year-old forward recently snubbed a move to Tottenham Hotspur during this winter transfer window.
However, Kane wants Tel to choose his next club carefully amid interest from United and Arsenal.
“Mathys is a great young player,” Kane told reporters after Bayern Munich’s 4-3 win over Holstein Kiel at the weekend.
“I have worked with him for 18 months now. He has a lot of potential, works hard, and likes to train hard. He can still improve, but he has the right mindset to do so.
“Whatever his next step is, the most important thing is that he plays. My advice is that wherever he goes now, he should make sure he gets playing time and experience.”
Tel has featured in just eight league games for Bayern Munich so far this season.
The France U21 star is keen to leave the Bundesliga giants in a bid to get regular playing time.
