RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons is staying away from training with the rest of the squad.
Simons is looking to force a summer move to Chelsea and has also removed the Bundesliga team from his Instagram bio.
After missing training on Friday, the 22-year-old is not expected to show up on Saturday.
Negotiations between the two clubs are, however, believed to be advanced.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, wrote on X: “Xavi Simons did not train with the RB Leipzig group on Friday… and he’s not expected to be part of the squad today.
“His decision is oriented to Chelsea’s move, after deleting Leipzig from his Instagram bio.
“Negotiations at advanced stages between Chelsea and Leipzig.”
