Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, has named the one trophy he believes Liverpool will not win as they eye a treble.
Arne Slot’s men are currently sitting 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League.
The Reds finished in third place in Jurgen Klopp’s final season at Anfield. A drop-off was expected under Slot, who arrived from Feyenoord to replace the German.
But Liverpool have stayed top of the league for most of the season and are set to win the title.
They are also in the hunt for the Champions League title, as they face Paris Saint-Germain for a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Later this week, Liverpool will clash with Newcastle United at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final.
Neville believes the Premier League title is already “in the bag” for Liverpool and expects them to win the cup final. But he believes they will come up short in the Champions League.
“Liverpool have got it (the title) in the bag, I think they will win it in April. The Champions League is a different story, it can be over in a one-off game.
“I’m not quite sure I see them winning it – you can never write them off obviously – but I don’t quite see it.
“It wouldn’t surprise me actually if they went out this week. It’s a 50-50 game for me, either team would easily win, PSG are a good side,” Neville said on his Sky Sports podcast.
