Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has said he is not sure the Blues would win their two matches left in the Champions League group phase.
They suffered another defeat in the competition on Tuesday night, falling 2-1 to Atalanta in Italy and further reducing their chances of automatic qualification to the knockout stages.
It was their second Champions League defeat of the season, and the former Leicester City boss pointed out that his side will need to win their final two group games to stand any chance of entering the top eight.
Chelsea’s next two fixtures are against Greek side Pafos and Serie A champions Napoli.
“Yes, probably with two wins, probably with 16 points, you can be in the top eight,” Maresca told reporters after the defeat to Atalanta.
“Not sure about that, but now the focus has to be on that first game.
“If we want to try to finish top eight, we need to win both.”
Chelsea are up against David Moyes’ Everton in the Premier League this weekend as they look to get back to winning ways.
Chelsea are currently sitting fifth in the table, eight points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.
