Victor Osimhen says Galatasaray achieved a great feat with the win over Liverpool, Urban Express News reports.
The Turkish Super Lig champions scraped past Arne Slot’s side 1-0 in their Champions League clash at the RAMS Park on Tuesday night.
Osimhen scored the winning goal from the penalty spot in the 16th minute.
The strike makes him the highest-scoring Nigerian in the history of the Champions League.
It was also his first-ever goal in the competition for Galatasaray.
Osimhen was named Man of the Match after the game.
”Frankly, I want to congratulate the team first. It was a very tough opponent for us, and many people, except for the fans here, didn’t really believe we would win.
“We managed to pull together as a team,” he told the club’s official website.
