Tech billionaire and head of the Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, Elon Musk has slammed Delaware Governor, Matt Meyer over his recent comment.
Matt Meyer had in an interview on CNBC’s ‘Squawk Box’, criticized Musk’s asking him to “stop cutting our federal government with a chainsaw”.
While discussing efforts to keep the tiny state as a haven for corporate headquarters in the United States, the governor was asked, “if Elon is watching right now, what would you tell him?”
In a quick response, Governor Matt said “please, please stop cutting our federal government with a chainsaw! Pls preserve Medicare”.
Sharing a video clip from the interview on his X handle, Elon Musk claimed that the governor’s “attitude is destroying Delaware”.
Meanwhile, speaking on the economic policies of the state, the governor claimed that “over 2/3 of the Fortune 500 companies in the world are Delaware-incorporated, so the idea that we’re losing something is not totally accurate.”
