Inter Miami defender, Jordi Alba, has claimed that Argentina football icon, Angel di Maria was the worst player to play against.
The former Barcelona defender stated that Di Maria is a year older than him but is still going strong.
The left-back told Offsider, that he was impressed with how well the Argentina international did at Real Madrid.
He said the former Manchester United and PSG star was the toughest opponent he has faced
“I think Di Maria was the worst. Di Maria was spectacular at Madrid, very good, but not only when it came to attacking, but also defending, he didn’t stop.
“He is a year older than me and he still runs. He is a player I have always liked a lot.”
Jordi Alba and Di Maria played against each other 10 times all in La Liga.
Alba won just twice against Di Maria, with both wins coming while he was with Barcelona.
The two have never faced off at international level.
