Bandits have killed four people and reportedly kidnapped the Vice Chairman of Bukkuyyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Hon. Bala Muhammad Maijidadi and several others in the area.

Urban Express News Online gathered that the coordinated attacks occurred between Sunday night and Monday morning.

A villager, Aminu Ibrahim, told our correspondent in a telephone interview on Tuesday night that the gunmen invaded Shemori community, Mada District of Gusau at about 9:20 pm on Sunday and kidnapped six women.

It was also gathered that early on Monday, another gang of bandits stormed Kairu community in Zugu District, killing two locals and abducting an unspecified number of people.

In Mada town, Gusau district, the gunmen targeted Hayin Bajumi, where they burnt the house of one Aliyu Usman.

“The fire incident killed two of his children, five-year-old Ishaq Aliyu and two-year-old Jafar Aliyu.

“The gunmen also abducted Usman’s neighbour’s wife, along with her one-year-old baby before fleeing the scene,” the source disclosed.

As of the time this report was filed, all efforts to get the reaction of the State police spokesman, ASP Yazeed Abubakar, proved abortive.
