Manchester United legend, Roy Keane, has criticised Chelsea striker, Liam Delap, insisting that the England U21 international lacks real quality.
Delap joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town after the club was relegated to the Championship.
He did well for Ipswich, scoring 12 goals in the Premier League, but has failed to replicate the form for the Blues this season.
Asked whether Delap has been a ‘hit or a miss’ at Chelsea, Keane said on the Stick to Football podcast: “At the moment, he is obviously lacking confidence, and he lacks real quality?
“Being a handful up front is not enough. But he is only a young kid; you have to give him the benefit of the doubt.
“I am not writing him off, but he has been a miss so far for Chelsea.”
Delap has scored one goal for Chelsea in the Premier League this season, but he was injured earlier in the season.
