Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George has lamented his side’s inability to convert the several goal-scoring chances they created in the 1-1 draw against Sunshine Stars.

Timothy Zechariah gave the visitors an early lead but failed to convert other chances allowing Sunshine Stars to claim a point from the game following Promise Awosanmi’s equalising goal.

Finidi believed that if his team had converted their chances, the result would have been different.

“Had we converted our chances, maybe the outcome of the result would have been different,” Finidi told Rivers United media.

Rivers United dropped to second position on the league table following the stalemate.

They will take on Kano Pillars next at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
