Former Chelsea striker, Diego Costa, has slammed his former manager, Antonio Conte, saying that the Italian was always angry and that no one liked him during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea bought Costa from Atletico Madrid for £32 million in 2014. The centre-forward became popular with the fans at Stamford Bridge because of his ability to score goals and his hard work during matches.

Costa went on to win two Premier League titles and a Carabao Cup while playing for the Blues.

The Brazilian player was also included in the PFA Team of the Year because he scored 20 league goals during a fantastic first season in west London.

Costa and Conte had a good beginning to their work together, as they both won the Premier League Player of the Month and Manager of the Month awards for November at the start of the 2016/17 season.

However, Costa was let go after only two months due to strong interest from the Chinese Super League, and Conte told the striker he could leave by text message ahead of the next summer.

Costa came back to Atleti for another time and then played for Atletico Mineiro, Wolves, and Botafogo.

The attacker is now without a team because his contract with Brazilian club Gremio ended earlier this month.

Costa had a lot on his mind, so he talked with his former Chelsea teammate John Obi Mikel about many different things.

They discussed the famous ‘Battle of the Bridge’ and also talked about Costa’s role model, Didier Drogba.

But even though the complete interview hasn’t been uploaded yet, Costa’s harsh comments about Conte—hinted at in a preview clip from Obi Mikel’s podcast—have already gone viral on social media.

Looking back on his time working with Conte, who is now the manager of Napoli, Costa said to Obi Mikel, “He is a person who doesn’t trust others. He thinks he knows everything.

“You don’t enjoy training with him; he’s always angry, always with a long face.

“The players wanted to return, but nobody liked him, and that’s why he didn’t last long. The past is the past.”

Costa said that Jose Mourinho was the coach he personally enjoyed the most.

“This is because he gives you life. You come to training happy,” he said.
