Former Manchester United star, Gary Neville, has insisted that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, leaving the Citizens at the end of the season, would be a game-changer for the English domestic league.
Neville spoke on Sky Sports while reacting to widespread reports that the former Barcelona manager will leave the Premier League giants this summer.
The Englishman, however, compared the news to legendary exits like Sir Alex Ferguson from Manchester United, Jurgen Klopp from Liverpool and Kenny Dalglish from Liverpool.
“This is game-changer news,” Neville said. “They’re huge moments in football.
“I don’t see it as news Manchester City would want out there at this moment [ahead of the Bournemouth game].
“It is like hearing the news of Kenny Dalglish leaving Liverpool, or Alex Ferguson leaving Manchester United and Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool.”
