Security operatives have uncovered an illegal firearms factory in Giroji Village, located in the Makarfi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Four people were arrested in connection with the criminal operation.

This was made known in a post shared on Saturday by security analyst, Zagazola Makama, on X.

According to the post, the discovery followed credible intelligence about suspicious activities going on in a residential building in the area.

“Surveillance officers quickly moved in and found two suspects, Shuaibu Abubakar, 35, and Ismail Shuaibu, 18, both from Kiru LGA in Kano State, actively making weapons,” Makama wrote.

A search of the site led to the recovery of several items used in arms production, including; Three locally made guns, three skeletal gun frames, 14 cartridges, five T.06 live bullets, bench vice machine, filing machine, welding machine, binding wire, iron rods, pipes, and a bunch of keys.

“Further investigation led to the arrest of Hassan Ibrahim from Giroji Village and Murtala Yakubu from Kari, both said to be members of a local vigilante group.

“The four suspects have reportedly confessed and given useful information to the authorities about their operations,” Makama added.

Makama further revealed that the case has been handed over to the proper authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
