Nigeria forward Christantus Uche was named Man of the Match after inspiring Getafe to victory at Celta Vigo on Sunday night.
Getafe started the 2025/26 campaign with a 2-0 win over Celta Vigo.
Uche was the standout performer for the Azuolones in the game, scoring once and also providing an assist.
The 22-year-old teed up Adrian Liso for the game’s opening goal two minutes into the second half.
He then doubled the visitors’ advantage 18 minutes from regulation time.
Uche will hope to continue his impressive start to the new season when Getafe host Sevilla in their next league game this weekend.
