Police in Jigawa State have confirmed the attack on the Aujara Divisional Officer’s residence.Spokesman of the command, SP. Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the incident in a statement issued to Urban Express News According to him, the incident occurred on November 25, 2025, at about 4:00 a.m., when unidentified gunmen launched a violent assault on the DPO’s residence.He said as a result of the attack, one police officer died while one other was seriously injured.According to him, “Police personnel on guard duty reportedly engaged the attackers in an effort to repel the assault.“During the exchange, two officers were seriously injured and were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.”The Commissioner of Police, CP Dahiru Muhammad, expressed deep condolences to the family, colleagues, and friends of the fallen officer.

He assured the public that the command had begun a thorough and diligent investigation to track down those responsible for what he described as a “dastardly act.”
