Super Eagles’ new invitee, Igoh Ogbu, has earned top praise from Slavia Prague manager Jindřich Trpišovský.
The Red and Whites maintained their push for the Czech Super League title with a comfortable 3-0 win over Jablonec on Sunday night.
Ogbu opened the scoring for Slavia Prague in the 12th minute of the encounter.
It was the centre-back’s second league goal of the campaign.
Trpišovský heaped plaudits on the 24-year-old for his overall performance and also declared that he is now a “complete player.”
“Igoh usually defends the opponent’s best player and can be dominant in duels. He has calmed down recently, feels good, and I think it was his first goal with his left foot in his career,” Trpišovský told the club’s official website.
“He timed the whole situation perfectly and solved it perfectly. He is extremely important for us, and his performances exceed his current price tag.
“If he played in a foreign league, his value would be much higher. He has become a complete player.”
Ogbu is in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe
