Legendary centre-back, Rio Ferdinand, has told his former club, Manchester United, to bring in an experienced centre-forward this summer.
He also demanded that they make their signings swiftly.
Following the arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton, the former England defender said the Red Devils need to get an experienced striker, a midfielder and a right-back.
Ferdinand spoke on his YouTube channel, where he stated that he was not interested in suggesting names of strikers the club should sign, adding that he has done that on many occasions.
He said as quoted by TBR Football, “I think if I were the recruitment team now, if I was advising them on anything now, I’ll be saying please make sure you do not forget an experienced number nine.
“I’m not going to say names. I’ve said the names too many times. I’d go and get a midfielder as well.
“A midfielder who can either dictate the play and pass and be the orchestrator…So those two players will be the next ones, a centre forward and a centre midfielder, and also a right back.”
Manchester United are paying £62.5 million to Wolves for Cunha, who was linked with Arsenal.
However, the Brazilian grew up as a fan of Manchester United.
