Arsenal have confirmed that attacker Marquinhos has left the club to join Cruzeiro on loan until the end of the Brazilian Serie A season in December.
The Brazilian only recently returned from a year-long loan with fellow Brazilian side Fluminense.
During his loan spell, he made 29 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Marquinhos joined Fluminense just a few months after their first-ever Copa Libertadores title.
The 21-year-old played a part in their success when they lifted silverware again in March 2024, winning the Recopa Sudamericana against LDU Quito.
He previously had short-term loan spells at both Norwich City in the Championship and French side Nantes in Ligue 1.
Marquinhos made his Premier League debut in Arsenal’s 3-0 win against Brentford in 2022 under manager Mikel Arteta.
He has so far failed to establish himself in Arteta’s squad.
“Everyone at the club wishes Marquinhos all the best for his loan spell with Cruzeiro and looks forward to seeing his continued development,” Arsenal’s statement partly read.
