Daniel Bwala, ex-aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has suggested that the Ministers of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, and Bello Matawalle (State) might be shown the exit door from President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Bwala said this should be the case if the perceived lack of cooperation between the Air Force and Army continues.
In a post on his X handle on Sunday, Bwala complained that Nigerians are now seeing a situation where “schoolboy errors result in ragtag bandits taking the nation’s armored vehicles and munitions”.
Bwala said: “If this perceived lack of cooperation between the air force and army continues, where we see schoolboy errors resulting in ragtag bandits taking our armored vehicles and munitions, then both ministers of Defence may need to be shown the door out. No sentiments.”
Urban Express News Online reported that a video emerged of a jubilant terrorism kingpin, Bello Turji, and his armed bandits celebrating “victory” over the Nigerian military after burning down two Mines Resistant Armour Personnel (MRAP) vehicles stuck in the mud.
Soldiers abandoned the vehicles during an operation in the troubled Zamfara State in the country’s North-west region.
Other terrorists were also heard calling for the burning of the vehicles after removing the essential parts, including ammunition boxes.
