TRT Spor commentator, Kaya Çilingiroğlu, has insisted that Argentina striker Mauro Icardi is better than his Nigerian counterpart Victor Osimhen.
Icardi and Osimhen were teammates at Galatasaray last season.
Osimhen had joined the Turkish champions on a season-long loan deal from Napoli.
Galatasaray are eager to make Osimhen’s deal permanent this summer and is reportedly offering the 26-year-old attacker 25 million euros per year in wages to sign for the club.
“Even if Osimhen doesn’t come, there is no problem,” Çilingiroğlu said (via Habersarikirmizi).
“Mauro Icardi is there. Icardi is better than Osimhen. If I understand football, Osimhen can’t get that kind of money in any other country in Europe.
“As time runs out, Galatasaray’s hand gets stronger,” he said.
Osimhen scored 37 goals across all competitions for Galatasaray last season, helping the club to win both the Turkish Cup and the Turkish Super Lig title ahead of rivals Fenerbahce.
