Inter Miami forward, Lionel Messi, has congratulated every nominee and winner at the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
Messi was absent at Monday’s ceremony as he was not excluded from the 30-man shortlist this year.
However, some of his Argentina teammates cut, with Emiliano Martinez winning the Yachine Award for the second consecutive year.
For the big prize, Manchester City’s Rodri was named the best player on the planet ahead of Real Madrid forward, Vinicius Junior.
Messi wrote on Instagram: “Congratulations to all the winners and nominated ones for the Ballon d’Or 2024.
“Especially to Dibu, what a great, another award for the best goalkeeper in the world. And to Lautaro, to Scaloni and Garnacho.”
Messiah, remains the player with the most Ballon d’Or awards (8).
